Who is EU?

Our cooperative operates with the same goal in mind: to improve and strengthen our community by cooperative means. Whether that means working toward a safer system to stay connected or offering transparent prices for your power, our core values and mission inform everything we do. We’ve got what you need to stay empowered.

WHAT IS A CO-OP?

EnergyUnited is the largest of 26 electric cooperatives in North Carolina, providing safe, affordable and reliable power while striving to improve the quality of life for our members as well as the communities we serve. A co-op is a non-profit electric utility that is owned by the consumers it serves. EnergyUnited is governed by a board of directors elected by members like you with a goal of providing at-cost electric service.

SAFETY

To keep our employees, members and communities safe, we operate with safety protocols to protect the good of all involved. Safety is first on our list because it’s the bedrock of our co-op, our community and our culture.

There’s an online community for co-op members like you that makes it easier than ever to make your voice heard on energy policies impacting you – Voices for Cooperative Power.

Voices for Cooperative Power is a network of electric co-op members interested in influencing the future energy in their community. Energy production and use is changing, and conversations about energy policies are intensifying.

Electric co-op members are competing for attention with special interest groups and we need your help to ensure our concerns are heard.
