The distance between each clip is usually 2-3”, but again it’s up to your individual needs. Proper direction of the wig clips is essential. Close clip so the inside is facing you as pictured. The long border of the clip should line up with the border of the inside layer with the teeth facing downward. The reason for applying the clip is to catch on to the existing hair and if not placed incorrectly there is an increased chance of tangling or not adhering correctly.

For added security, you can also put a wig clip in the middle of the crown. Just make sure the clip is placed in the same direction with teeth facing back towards the nape.

Easy To Use/ Clip In These small clips bend open and bend closed and will not allow sliding. Sew in as many as will make you feel comfortable.

Warning: When any hair clips are used, they should be rotated periodically to avoid putting prolonged pressure on growing hair in the same area which could lead to hair loss.

For those who don’t have enough hair for the clip to securely catch on, you can shave a small amount of hair and attach your piece using two-sided wig tape.

How Many Clips Are Needed: How many clips you use will depend on the type and size of the hairpiece and how much pre-existing hair you have.

How To Attach: Thread your needle accordingly so you have a long double thread. Sew the clips along the edge of the lining by stitching through the inside layer, up through each hole in the clip.

There will be some holes for sewing around the border of the clip. Go through each hole three times and safe each passes from side to side a hole with a lock stitch. Build lock stitches by passing the needle through the two threads and pulling it stiff. For added durability, we suggest knotting the thread at every turn. Attach the hairpiece to your head by pressing on the centers of the combs to unsnap and open them.

Pull the hairpiece tight and slide the teeth of every comb forward, grab a small amount of hair and then slide back into the hair or under the hair cap. Pressing on the centers of the combs to close. If it doesn’t close it is most likely due to too much hair being crammed into the clip. Just patiently and carefully remove some of the hair from the clip while making sure the hair is untangled, comb throughout the hair with your fingers or comb and start over. There will be several holes for sewing around the perimeter of the clip.

Go through each hole three times and secure each pass through a hole with a lock stitch. Make lock stitches by passing the needle through the two threads and pulling it tight.

Lace Wig Attachment: If you have a lace wig, fold and pin the lining back to double the material. Cut the flaps from between each clip if you have a lace wig. Cut them to create a straight, unfolded edge that lines up with the front edge of the comb.

Pull the hairpiece tight and slide the teeth of each comb into the hair or under the hair cap. Remember to be careful not to grab too much hair in the clip or it won’t close correctly. Press on the centers again to snap and close the clips. Press – Snap and Go! Enjoy.
