However, located in Eixample, the area is renowned for being Barcelona's most affluent. Therefore it has its own fair share of interesting bar and restaurant options.

The hotel is an attractive option to business people due to its meeting room facilities. However, it is also a useful option for families, with rooms sleeping up to four people.

Hotel Location and Facilities

Film Café - Filmoteca

The hotel a 15 minute walk from the Estació Sants - Barcelona's largest station. This is convenient for those who require quick access to Barcelona airport, as it can be reached by train from this station. Tourists who are interested in day trips out of the city will also find the hotel well located.

A 5 minute walk from the hotel is a cinema called Filmoteca. It screens old and art-house films, all of which are shown in their original language. This is a useful option as the majority of cinemas in Barcelona show films that are dubbed. The cinema also has a small café, where you can enjoy a coffee whether you've been to see the film or not.

Barcelona's Industrial University

The hotel is located directly opposite Barcelona's Industrial University. The building is impressive with a stone facade, large arches and a Gothic feel. It is possible to walk around the grounds of the University.

The closest Metro station is Hospital Clinic - this is a convenient 2 minute walk from the hotel. This will prove very useful in reaching areas such as the Ramblas, Plaça de Catalunya or Sagrada Família if you are interested in seeing the sights. For those who do not mind a walk, it is possible to reach Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia in around 15 - 20 minutes. Rambla de Catalunya is a leafy and part pedestrianized road that is lined with cafés and bars. Passeig de Gràcia is the home of many of Barcelona's large and designer stores. It is also a beautiful road, with ornate wrought iron street lamps and old buildings.

How to travel from the airport to the hotel

With a private transfer service the driver will be waiting for you at the designated meeting point given to you on the booking voucher. The driver will help you with your bags to the vehicle and then drive you to your hotel. Private transfers are independent of the the public transport system. This means if there is a public transport strike these services will continue to operate.

Via Taxi: A taxi from the airport should take about 25 minutes.

Taxi Fare: €30.00 - €40.00

Via Bus: Take the 'Aerobus' to Plaça de Catalunya from directly outside the airport. The Aerobus generally runs every 10 - 15 minutes and the journey time is 30 minutes. From Plaça de Catalunya you can take the Green Line on the metro to Estació Sants and change onto the Blue Line to Hospital Clínic, the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the metro station.
