The 10-floor, 108-room U232 Hotel is a stylish, contemporary hotel in the L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample section of the western Eixample. It's a little far by foot from central Barcelona attractions like La Rambla and Sagrada Familia, but luckily a metro stop is one and a half blocks away for easy access to the rest of the city. While there's no pool, guests do enjoy well-designed and tech-equipped rooms, a sun deck with city views, a big breakfast buffet (for a fee), small fitness room, and inviting library/computer room. A stay here is good value, since the extra distance from the city center equals lower nightly rates.

The U232 is a chic and contemporary hotel with a warm and inviting feel. The hotel draws tourists of all ages as well as business travelers. A prime gathering spot is the attractive library and computer room, with muted Art Deco elements and decked out with dark wood furnishings, striped sofas, and black-and-white photos. U232 Hotel is situated on the Comte d'Urgell in the L'Antiga Esquerra de l'Eixample section of the western Eixample. A 25-minute walk west of the Placa de Catalunya and La Rambla, it's a little far from central Barcelona attractions. Luckily, the hotel is one and a half blocks north of Hospital Clinic Metro station, for easy access to the rest of the city. The Placa de Francesc Macia and vibrant Avinguda Diagonal are three blocks north.

The 108 spacious rooms at the U232 are done in a beige, blond, and black color palette with light hardwood floors. Beds are solidly comfortable and feature striped bedspreads and throw pillows. Some rooms have two single beds pushed together. Bathrooms are marble and have showers with good water pressure. Basic rooms are interior facing, but some rooms have views of the neighboring Comte d'Urgell and balconies. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, laptop-compatible safes, minibars, and free Wi-Fi.
